Group leaders: Ruth Facer and Mavis Jones

The Poetry Group meets on the 2nd Monday of the month every two months, with a summer break. Members take it in turns to host the meetings in their own homes. Here, members choose and read two poems on a pre-set subject. The meetings begin at 8pm and last about 1½ hours. It has become a mainstay of the Society's programme for the group to present an open-air poetry evening late in June and held in a beautiful village garden.
