The Poetry Group:

Group leaders: Ruth Facer and Mavis Jones

The Poetry Group meets at 7.45pm on the 1st Monday of every other month. Members take it in turns to host the meetings in their own homes. During the meetings members choose and read two poems on a pre-set subject. The meetings last about 1½ hours. It has become a mainstay of the Society's programme for the group to present an open-air poetry evening late in June held in a beautiful village garden.
